Meaning of the Prayer Song:

They say, it the place of our only Lord,
Who adorns in the red matt-locks
the multi-patal Konrai, snake, moon and tender Vanni;
It is the Thirunallaru that spreads the fragrance of the
Nyazhal (tree of multi branches), Kuravam, Surapunnai.

 Notes:

1. maindhan - one (son) for a family; EDu - patal;
kODu - branches.
2. Sambandhar has given references of many trees/herbs
in this song. They are all part of our habitat - earth.
They help us live here. Let us protect them.
"Urdvan jigadhu bheshajam" (May the herbs grow well)

You can find the information on these herbs/trees in the Temple Trees page.
