Meaning of Thiruvasagam

 
Oh wonderful young parrot, think and tell me  
the glorious name of our Lord of perunthuRai,  
Like as said by the Perfect Lord of ArUr (rudra), 
Lord on the white flower (brahma), Lord of milky 
ocean (viShNu) as "Our Lord, the Lord of devas" !

1. This whole padhikam called dhasAngam is like 
a girl telling the glorious attributes of her Lover, 
Who is none other than the Supreme Himself.  
2. In this song the girl asks the parrot to sing 
the sweet name of her beloved Lord as praised by 
the trinities.
