வாளையுங் கயலும் மிளிர் பொய்கை
    வார் புனற் கரையருகெலாம் வயல்
பாளையொண் கமுகம் புறவார் பனங்காட்டூர்ப்
பூளையும் நறுங்கொன்றையும் மத
    மத்தமும் புனைவாய் கழலிணைத்
தாளையே பரவும் தவத்தார்க்கு அருளாயே.

and carp fishes shine, where in the fields areca-palms 
with spathe grow - in such thiruppuravar panangattur,
oh Lord, Who wears Pulai, nice Konrai and Umaththam,
bless those who are in the austerity of hailing (Your)
ornate feet!
