Om symbolThiruthondar Puranam (Periyapuranam) - English Poetry - S A SankaranarayananOm symbol

1. Deiva Sekkizhaar

"Ulagelaam", Tillai gathered greatness!
Holy Betelgeuse Day, Bliss of Dance!
The Child Divine drank the milk of Gnosis!
Duodecima Musa in Year's trance
made the Chola King confer Gnostic Crown
upon Arunmozhitthevar's achieve!
That was for his singing the glory known
of servitor flock: a samhita weave!
What a ciclaton, Aadirai fabric
of Thondar seer paravuvaar,s in plaque
of Aaurum, hagiographic
Ambalam-kept, jewel of Maker's  make!
The Twelfth Thirumurai on Lord's service
to glimpse the Lumen limitless vis a vis!

2. Kayilai's Grandeur

Veda, Vina Yaazh,and Hymns Dance around;
myriad goblins for Five Acts to go;
Taurus guards the Argentum to sound
eloquent the Hill's pied beauty to show!
Drunk with milky main sits Upamanyu
at the foot;Pure noetic Siva-morph
as Lord calls 'Sundara' mirrors true;
so do Uma's double, pretty pair of
Aninditai-Kamalini flower pick
for eyes to catch on and match to slide down;
thus is the boon to woo Paravai- trick
play in calm comradery comely known!
Aaroor is Kama's South, Prithvi's Privilege
Siva deigns to Grace the fair Razor's Edge!

3. Manu's Wheel

Annus Mirabilis! In Aaroor land!
The Car wheels; calf bat-blind is run over;
Die Prince must for cow's grief; more human than
bovine, more bovine to give the five ever,
to Lord;minister fears to sin and dies;
First born obeys the wheel to finish him!
What a Bell&Co! Innocent three rise!
In front of the Ancient One, Will is whim!
Sibi and the dove, ,calf and Vitanga
The Car Auric and palace Campagna
The King and his heir-prince and Thyagesa
all spokes flesh  the curious Wheel of Dharma
with none of woe nor sorrow nor disgrace
to pan a square circle In Prithvi's haze!

4. Holy Flock's Devaasiriyan

A thousand columns: Devaasiriyan!
A Gate of the Greats, House of Holy Ash
and sacred ganitrus of lustrous lumen!
forwarding the pious to Ant-Kayilash
of Formica Lord, Earth's enchanting Mouth
bemusing the glorious airts supreme
lit by the miens of those anchored in South
to buoy up the North by Dance thud and theme!
Here must one come,bow, go cowed by, go scanned
on entry; in humility register
honed up for to worship and understand
the streamline of bhakti's! Waver never,
lest path may break, hill may blink and benumb
a venial devotee with venom-plum!

5. Taxonomy

Of  secret Vedic's and Aadi Saivist's
of medico polymath valiant,
of throned King and Queen in servitors' midst,
of pious rulers in for service meant,
of mercantile force fostering the Cause,
of farmer's weal outright given for Flock
of neatherds and cows in musical pass,
of weaver,potter,miller,fisher in dock,
of island highlander,Tamilists triple,
of servus servorum,of Baanam blessed,
of preceptor graced by Lord Siva's Will,
of paanar,hunter,,humble,fuller guessed,
of a host of them all, more than divine
sing may we, aloud sing their rise and reign!

6. Sundarar

Venom he pelleted for Siva's throat;

Aninditai-Kamalini tugged his eyes;
Lactic sea knows he is Munaipadi's lot;
meekly to wed Stangavi's daughter wise;
grandson of Aarooran,suffererto slave
in bond signed 'Pitthan' by ancient thief.
Lord trod on slave's head as toddler-wave

to nominal-roll flock names as if !
Manimuktha to Kamalalayam
Kanchi to Aaroor aurum and the eyes
and polyglot Ceraman's opulent sum
--all for Lord's start: the line of Tillai's!
Ash-Beauty Cauvery cleaved for his;
crocodile spat the child ,'Mirabilis'!

7. Tillai Vaazh Andanar

Tillai untainted Three Thousand poised ever
in sariyai-kiriyai-yogam-gnanam,
factorial Four, fostering triple fire,
in a flash thrashing kali-kalmisham,
chanting Vedas-Angas,Four and Six,
clad in discipline, coated in holy ash,
in canon-hours of mantras' matrix,
seeking none else, no claim, nor clash
with mundi of kali-calamity,
canoed by auric Ambalam's caritas
in a single birth inseparably
with crystal Empyrean Space as Linga's
Mukutaagamically held divine,
by Sundarar* sung in submitting line!

8.  Tiruneelakantar

By ‘Neelakandam’, his spouse swore in shame
as he wheeled astray in weakness venial!
Time rolled on: ‘Touch us not’. She meant his name
Holy Blue Neck! Continent in senses all,
in bouderie, for offended feminine,
kept he, a clay bowl, of a servitor’s
for long; when asked back, it was clean missing!
Charged ‘thief’, the potter is pained with remorse.
The Vedic Court willed: with spouse, may he confess
in purgatorial pool, on immersion;
together, holding a stick nevertheless,
at either end, -Time rolled back- in the open
his home-truth was out: Alpha Capricornus in troth!
The conjugal pair was blessed with youth!

9. Iyarpakai

Didn’t he kill his countering clan and kin
as they did cross him escorting his chaste
spouse, by a Vedic hot, sought and taken
in urgent salacious guise and haste?
Contra to all the mundane herd-morals,
held Iyarpakai all his as not his
but as Siva’s servitors’; by impulse,
self forsaken, what else remains, amiss
to lose? Mad, he seemed to many around
but the Mad ONE knew his abnegation;
pat, vanished the Vedic; soon bound on bound
rose Siva’s bull-mount! What dispensation!
All killed came alive, chaste as ever pure;
O, Disowner! The fawn ne’er murmurs for sure!

10. Ilayaankuti Maaran

Magham his star, Maaran his name, Sky prone
Ilayaankuti his village bare
of Great plough fields. Flash Rains. The Hungry ONE
hung on at doors; Sundown; sown paddy there

out to be swept; Maaran on lean days, yet
scooped the remains; plucked some simples good,
root* and all, from pitch dark yard; spouse set
the pot cooking; pulled rafters for firewood;
chimney-ceiling to Regulus open!
Meal meagre! Soon, up soared a super-flame
begotten flame on Taurus as Lumen
they saw at vespers! Earth Heaven became!
The pit of the stomach paid the tribute:
Grace o’ The Hungry ONE through vital route.

11. Meypporul

One came to Meypporul!s Sethi palace,
Muthan,milk white holy ash wearing.
hiding a sword envy-steeled for to gaze,
in aagamaa book in false-daring;
entered royal chamber! guards forbid! woe!
Porul rose to bow to the mock-expert;
the sword cushioned the king;Denebola’s throe.
Blood gushing beckoned the Cat to respect
the deed:galvanized tip:`tatta namar`!
none alien was the one but lord-send to win.
The rare aagamaa still to learn is rarer ;
the rarest up-kept for Meyppprul’s men!
All compact in swan-utterance,safe and quick;
ash thicker than blood! no mark in the wick!.

12. Viranmindar

`Unto the last`-idee fixee: shun all,
the taker and taken e`en, if they err
the tenet of transit: a comely call
to worship Devasiriyan,then enter
the sanctum: Betelgeuse is red shower!
Sengkunroor slid to Aaroor for
punitive watch on servitors ever;
comrade Sundarar transgressed the star!
Minders ban on Aaaroorar and Aarooraan!
Can faith go balked?Why override,why pray?
Mandatory mantap.Bow you must, o, clan!
know the canon;the servus servorum,aye,
Mindar -act: sequenced the serving numbers.
C-major of submission for Vanthondar`s.

13.   Amarniti

Kandai keel kovanam:trying triad!
To Pazhayaarai came a brahmacharin
to Niti`s vassalage-in-service to add;
left his slip in Niti`s mutt for keeping;
rains!past bathing the purloiner all wet
back came panting for his waist-wear;
in vain searched Niti:was it found? yet
a fresh weave he gave the visitor!
His rejection pricked Niti`s conscience.
as willed, scales, measures were brought, pan and pointer;
gave the young Vedic his strip of ens!
whole Amar`s safe on the right didn`t rear
the left;spouse,son,and he-gift outright
poised in grace:pans leveled!Siva`s might!

14. Eripatthar

Hand held an axe as if in knighthood
to end evil vexing the service-flock.;
that was Patthar o`Karuvoor`s extreme mood.
old Aandaar with flowers went on walk
to temple; royal elephant seized the lot;
the old wailed in anguish.  Patthar felled
the beast`s trunk;King heard the wail at ear-shot!
sped, found the mammoth fallen dead;felt
for that;his sword to Patthar he handed,
who was quick to cut his own neck and knelt!
voice disembodied from skies resounded:
`to tell the world,your love,so were you dealt`.
Risen was the elephant ,the king`s mount
with Patthar  upon and his axe to count!

15. Yenaathi Naathar

Constellation sobieski!to shield,
Ash Holy on forehead was thick-friendly,
murk and envy all within on the field
of combat, Atisooran charged Yenaathi.
The held shield hid the forehead of the cunning
Ati that lost troops in battles waged,
he and Yenaathi-marshals in Eninanoor-ring;
for foe`s ash-covered face Yenaathi yielded;
his sword didn`t drop;heart didn`t sag;nor sinned his foe;
in meek reserve he gave in to the assault.
armed,yet not,in a fix of pious go,
the sword he let to pink without default!
Ash holy is Siva-in-guise to him:
Life tendered for Ash is Yenaathi`s whim.

16. Kannappar

To dwell aloof as a forester atop?
Tinnan cried to Kaalatti: leaves and buds,
roast pig,mouthfuls of Mukali,no…..p!
Golden Week: sandals cleansed the drops in treads!
Buccal blanched the baanam; flich tasted,Lord`s intake;
a five-day canonical in sen-night!
Sivagochariyaar saw the mess in the wake;
made amends;dream-bidden,hid;with insight,
found he Tinnan see Lord`s eye bled;and gouge his
one and fix it on;the other bled;
Homeo!similia similibus!
out to gouge his left in a fix,blood shed.
Lord took Kannappa on to his Left!
Bhakti is love blind,of blindness bereft!

17. Kalayan

Is dire want Siva's Grant of weal given
to dine with devout Maaheswar? Sigh!
Kungiliam resin's put to flame-test;
spouse's gold gyrates, calling for rest!
Kenosis! Kalayan empty sells all
for frankincense vendor'd on his route
to the Temple of Lord, the Giver bent with love-all
for devotee's libations leaning to loot;
as a hyperbole bole o' broken Neck
necking Kalayan in Panandal match,
for Chola's choler,servitor's smoke
screens Normal: 'Privacy' is sure as such!
Love churned in Order wings over the skies
of aeternitas, preserved Pitcher-guise!

18. Maanakkanchaaran

What a bliss-dance city of Lord's, What if?
Dear daughter's wedding day's gaiety, What if?
Her beauty is heavenlyfair, What if?
Maavrathi calls on un sent for, What if?
Lord-send Taker asks: for her locks, What if?
They suit our Lord Panchavati, What if?
Should she lose her locks on a rape, What if?
Her beauty may go to winds, What if?
Ask not, the intent he reads and gives, What if?
Lovelier than ever before is she, What if?
Vrathi is all bone-lace and locks to cover, What if?
Father cuts the locks my Lord, What if?
Chaste is the girl, the virgin daughter to show
The Dancer's Bliss for Kanchaaran to know!

19. Arivattaayar

Maternal is he;when service is broke
his sword his neck answers! Sickle cut grain
for Lord's offering to go on without break
he gives for five fold sacrifice to gain!
Love immense gives eyes to see Siva Lord !
Is He hungry, no! Offer Him to get
back the give manifold for Being's cord
of Grace pulling them from off the catch- net
No soft paddy grain! Starves he in piety!
Water-fed for weeks on end his spouse serves!
Weak to bear the load for Lord Neeneri
he toddles upon his wife never swerves!
The Earth cracks to take the spilled offer!
mango is bit; bite reveals the   Biter!

20. Aanaayan

Thirumangalam neatherd is pentad's sake!
The lutanist is dear to the Lord !
The bovine five is all his give and take!
Stops in the flute are sounds of  secure guard!
Bamboo pipe sends calling tunes of advent
of Grace to Beings soul-deep within love!
Moved unmoved genera heard as meant!
The Dancer Bliss lends an ear to prove:
Aanaayan's music in Mel-Mazha land!
For Ekampan the bamboo muse is close
to the ear wearing the stud so grand
to coin a cure for the ills of throes!
From milk of kine-ness to Muse of Hymn
the lute pipes to win the Looter's whim!!

21. Moorthi

Ancient South and Southerly! Tamil Tongue!
Crescent spilled elixir cleansed Katamba!
Ascetic Moorthi in Aalavaai sung!
Musk, bezoar,saffron,camphor,sandal draw
a fragrant divine air to nestle round
the shrine and linga in the sanctum
Vaduga King blocks the ground
of sandal wood for Siva Lord's bosom!
Samana-murk dulls the edge of flock's love!
Moorthy to temple goes, grinds his arm fast
in faith; and the corridor and the capital above
smell fragrant in the crush! Things holy last!
Elephant crowns him ! Ash-Coronation!
Ganitrus adorns this sublimation!

22. Muruka

Brick of gold for Beauty's privilege pure!
Appar's chosen abode to seek and find!
The Metaphysics of Presence endure
the unique solitary shrine of mind!
There is Pukalur the sole refuge free
for flower-worship on floral feet-pair!
Sivam as fragrant thought nestles to be
a garland, a wreath, a chaplet of fair!
Predawn dawn;holy dip;,flower leaf-pick,
Pentad spells a woven weave of choice flowers;
to the Auric Dais string,knot,net,bind thick
for all the six canonical hours!
Susum corda! A flower is the labor of Ages
Garland  lifts the lifter through five Stages!!

23. Rudrapasupati

Locks as Sfumato, mien holy aflame
surging as natural waterscape's foam

as unique lotus fulgurant in time
as auspicious morph aglow chanting OM
in and through a sin-free Being freeing
us from woes and is viewed close to the fruit
of noesis sans dianoia! Seeing
being believing in Triad's midst is set
the Seven canto-bursts; in Heptad's swells
eleven; in Undeca-'s, Pentad's bliss
the middle of it is the beginning ells
the eye and its pupil of vis-a-vis-ness:
Pasupati, neck-deep in river's call,
Sri Rudram chants! His Readiness is all!

24.  Thiru Naalai-p-povaar

A kaani on the riven Kollidam
owes to the labor of Pulaippaadi!
The nativity of "Naalaippovain"!
For Faith Nandhi moves Aadi!
The Tillai Dancer is the thrust and thirst!
Tomorrow, tomorrow,tomorrow,Time
putting off the instant instant at first!
What frontier cover! Flesh in troth is lime!
Andanars bow unto Nandanaar's wish!
Afflatus is tapas! three-stranded thread!
Flame red is Bhakti's lumen in a swish!
What Paradise-purgatorial-bed!
Skin, nerve, tie, tong and musk for Lord's service
He labors and tabors foregrounding bliss!

25. Thirukkuripputthondar

Dirt is twi-deed,,triple flaw death and birth;
cuscus grass tip knows waters waters wash;
Sun tricks an event and day's task is done;
the fuller's promise to dry-wash is ash!
The reader of signs, Siva's insignia
takes upon himself to cleanse the linen
of a servitor in guise, verily Lord dear
to guess dearer still to try the Thondar!
Kampai river-course flows and shows and knows!
Why a flood, why rains, why all the excess?
Why He is withdrawn from all these and those?
The servitors servitors read and bless!
In service due is all blessing inlaid!
Servitor as Mercy tries and is tried!

26. Chandeesar

A stick turns mazhu in the sacred hour;
milk kept for Siva's oblation is spilled;
the leg kicks and the leg supports the sore
crime against Lord;and are cut, kicker's killed;
Divine kineness is  Will of Chandeesar
ever meditating on the Great Grace;
no intervention but  make a murmur
hum for the fruit of darshan of the Day's!
Thiru Sei Nal Oor is the simple site!
On Manniyaar sands rise in an instant
as linga for the boy learned as Light
Supreme! The cows in his care never want!
Lore for ages labor from births past due
and bud forth to blossom  a Red from Blue!

27. Thirunaavukkarasar

Ten hymns well sung open;the doors, How come!
The stone turns a float, sails ashore,How come!
The venom turns pharmacon sure, How come!
Kopaadhisayam walks upon, How come!
In cinder chamber is he cool, How come!
Mahendran falls at his feet, How come!
Vaageesar walks o'er the wild safe, How come!
Dips he to  rise in Aiyaaru, How come!
In Pukalur  he adores  Aaroor, How come !
In Nalloor Lord prints His on him, How Come!
Vaamoor is well accredited, How come!
By Thilakavathi given to Saivam, How come!
King of Tamil tongue stands sired in sum
by ONE sole Nindra Thirutthaandakam!

28. Kulacchirai

"Foster the flock" is Kulacchirai's oath;
to weed out the evil of alien murk
resolves he and acts to check  the growth
of pseudo;  impales them on the stake;
Virile Manalmelkudi man  is he;
a minister defense in Pantya land;
propitiating the servitors in spree
he but stands well poised for to understand
the crisis in the reign and quells the foes
the pseudo, and impales them on the stake;
serves the throned queen to kill the alien woes;
supports Netumaran to remake
the sure sacrosanct Saivaite sovereign joy
from Manalmelkuti to Aalavaai!

29. Perumizhalai-k-Kurumpar

Meditates Mizhali King on the feet
flower of Sundarar's bound for Kayilai
the next day with his siddhis eight; to forfeit
the fatum of flesh through Siva yoga nigh
to the vortex of breath through central front
and escape into the vast as lumen
bequeathing none of coils to account
for a repeat birth or gravity's ken
for annulling tomorrow  today
for to sublime  the gross of double dross
for a feel of the open twelfth gateway
the King in ascent goes by Cause of Cause!
Remote sensing the remote sense of Grace
Guru's, Kurumpar rises as the Space!

30. Kaaraikkaal Ammaiyaar

Mother of Sivam is She of Bhakti--
Punithavathi,- Pentasyllabic
endowed with Tamil " kongai thirangi"
ancient threshold verse of valiant stych!
She seeks a gift-set from Mighty Giver:
to hymn at His feet,  forget to forget,
to love undying, to get born never.
Fruit's relish makes Param to ask and get
the other given foretaken by Taker
in-guise! The 'how' she tells of peacock-frame!
Param like bull strident so forsakes her!
Holy Grace helps her head take to  the Name !
Lord calls her in Kayilai, "Ammaiye"!
Sattinipaadham's say, who may unsay?

31. Appoothi

"Now he is of no help"--Hail Appoothis son
"This plantain twig I shall give", he cobra-bit,
swears in love profuse in the rapid run;
Time out--auguring "Onru Kolaam"quit-
venom-- antivenin  cure of Appar's!
Thingaloor's signposts all are water booth,
mutt, house, dwelling,grove and diverse stores
titled Naavukkarasar writ in truth!
Guru's grace abounds in the naming act;
Guilt-free he has felt a little the stir
by his son's incidence, a fatal fact;
what may this attitude be so to blur
by  tie yet free by Guru's Grace of fount!
On Utterance is son risen by tenth count!

32. Tiru Neelanakkar

Many a bush mynah cites the Vedas;
warbles notes wild to the initiate;
there in Ayavanthi "fires triple and chaste women
chase ills", waters with fowls confabulate!
Armored in Ash,sacred thread on,twice born
Neelanakkar on a Betelgeuse Day
soulfully worships in sanctum-at-dawn
with spouse attending ever by, to pray;
a spider she sees lime the baanam; in dread
blows it out! Mother tongue's lot!
Lapsus linguae! Swoons Nakkar; dreams red
Siva a-blister except the bliss-spot!
For Blue-Throat Kayilai King what a lip-ice-throw
in Red-cross-hasty-'I-See-You'-urge-of-Love!

33. Naminandhi

Water denser than ghee feeds the wick;
for ghee-bather's sake as if;Ganga wet
crest of Lord's sports flame on arm in the quick
of circumstance in Araneri, set
for a sundown red when Nandhi with no
oil to light the row falls let down; pines
to pray tearful for sacred action to go
on without breach in Neyyaadi's shrines!
Yemapperur swears by the One Flaming
through lamp-lighter canonically fair
by matins,nonce,vespers compline to sing
and foster the triple fires in Agni's square!
Fortune favors his Gnostic lumen-love!
Root, Stem and Edge! Sankara shows above!

34. Thiru Gnanasambandhar

Decad oared and ferried; pearl palanquin
was got; canopy to oyster on its own;
bones turned a belle;flames and floods, leaves did win;
subsided fever of Aalavaai's Crown;
Ash sprinkler verses shut the Vedic Gate;
serpent bit Chetty son was revived again;
Veezhimizhalai gave a coin of  date;
Paacchilaasram purged the prickly spine;
Kolakkaa handed the gold-cymbal pair;
the female palm evolved out of the other;
all flock were taken in an instant flare!
The Cry for Milk of kindness from Mother!
What a panel of wonders is The Child
The Aliter Subrahmanya in World's Wild!

35. Yeyarkon Kalikkaamar

Of Perumangalam near Holy Beech,
of the clan of Army Chiefs of Cholas
of Kalikkaamar's service and its reach,
intolerant of in-service prone flaws
of his lavish love in Temple making,
of his loathing over Sundarar's act,
of febrile fits that ailed him forsaking
his flesh tearing open the entrails,racked
to ruin and how he was hid by spouse
as Sundarar turned to bow to his feet,
of abnegation all ready to lose
than violent devotee's more violent feat,
how may we contemplate his love and praise'
how reckon re-reckon and may we rise??

36. Thirumoolar

Cow-shed tears brought Kayilai Sivayogi;
entered Moolan the neatherd;the cows lowed!
Siddha in guise couldn't his mortal coat see;
read the Will Divine to Tamil he owed!

Thiruvaavatuthurai Ficus Tree:
marked a mantra a year;three thousand
rolled;stabled Stallion Eternity;
played Nandhi graced the unpleasant pleasant;
Aagamas nine came cutely encrypted;
Siva Siva IS Siva Siva Siva bound;
Bound on bound mounting the Mare of Dread
locking the left to the un-leavng sound!
Moolar the Eighth was Heaven wrought by Lord!
for Disciples Seven in his Oxford!

37. Dhandi

Dream divination! Aeons end! At length
the eye opens unto Prithvi's Vast!
Dhandi blind is powered by Pentad's strength;
The digger's ultima thule, digs past
the hurdles the lay Samanas create;
The KIng dreams too; by faith asks him the blind
one to show up the Cause in alien gate!
Dhandi walks his way his eyes open on a find
the caviling turn deaf and blind at once;
losing the fantail of peacock and pot
losing their hold on the posts of their dunce
trick and as stupid armies on the spot
clash and cry in frenzy and cackle rude!
The dug tank is lachrymal interlude!

38. Moorkka

On the River Milk stands Tiruverkad;
A noble there deems Holy Ash True Ens;
He spends his wealth for the flock all glad;
struggles on lean days in agony for once!
Gifted Gambler, he by Thief's Art
rambles from shrine to shrine; Kumbakonam
he arrives in, where the Baanam athwart
favors in assent, Moorkka's gambit game!
He loots, in blind faith, pinks the faulters
on shuteye win; solely to spend the gains for
feeding  servitor clan; Faith ne'er falters;
sin scared to virtue turns, in either-or
horns of crisis that try on the steadfast
to see if they could stand unto the last!

39. Somaasi Maaran

Amica Sundara! Stark devotee
by, his eyes,see servitor and Siva
as syncopated Ones meontic  free
with no 'me', no 'I'; Ens entia
are ash and ganitrus;seeking mundane
fruit none, fame none, in graced Umber umbrage
of Lord's upon the hill-built holy shrine-
shines the Somaasi-Conscious on stage,
Pentad purified, pleasing the fire
feeding the flame with the vain fatty "I",
in abnegation worshiping the gyre
of flame-arm, forest-dance, red eye and sky!
For Kali to crunch may many a Cenote
blow up above flame begot flame to float

40. Saakkiya

All in All is Sivam for Sangamangai
Saakkiya sponsors supreme slavery!
Objective vantage point is Kayilai Sky!
To annul thought, Him he thinks thoughtlessly;
Deed a dead thing, soul a little wise;so
shun the detritus-deed let the doer!
The dues of do-s the Giver does well know;
sans guise, sans ash sans ganitrus or
the formal bow and go, pelts he the snow-flower
the ice-ballast upon the base circuit
the girding-grace and the baanam over;
Love stoned the Lord,contrapuntal to loot
His hidden booty of the formless form
that has ashed Manmath on another norm !

41. Sirappuli

"All weal Sivan-Given, wholly servitors' ",
is the dear dictum of delta 'caritas'
of Sirappuli mighty generous
Sivabhakta,firm Vedic free from flaws.
No I-ness,my-ness none,always to offer
is his 'elan' of Velaan-clan native
to Aakkoor where chant mutes thunder's 'da',
where Homa fumes dissolve Akil's whiff !
Born nobles kindling many a noble
grow like groves of  areca,,arbors

that abound around Maadakkoyil-
sui generis for Lord and His Half's,
the spear-eyed Uma rounding the One-
-in-Thousand tabernacle with Man !

42. Sirutthondar

Aceldama is Sengaadu dread-land;
blood and its bleat Dread-begot fasten love;
to unfasten an untainted sword-wand
magically must cut out the calf-cow
bond for Siva-Bhairav to come and ask!
Dispensation Divine, the over-draught
leads and takes kindly  Human will to task!
A traumatic tie set at naught is a craft
to try Sirutthondar's small Seeralan's head,
the which to the Feet is tied already;
the feast of it, the caviar-menu-read
forfeiture of wisdom to the Hungry
Sankara--blood, bone and all unstable
in treat--sublimates the vegetable!

43. Ceramaan

By a boon of alethia poised for
the holy feet thought, Anklet's resonance
and Pentad, Ceramaan gave his amour
to Paanabadra! Lord's behest immense!
Once on his royal Mount  he bestrode the way;
found a fuller with fuller's earth upon;
thought of Argent Ash! Kanakasabhai;
left Vaanchai for Ponni land! Pharmacon!
Divine Right by Will Divine minuted a meet
of  Violent and Violet in a clue!
Servitors! paired a leap, Pentad Steed
piloted Airaavat; to Himavant flew!

Holy Kayilai Gnostic sojourn took birth!
Aaroor Mummanikkovai! Pritvi's Mirth!

44. Gananathar

Ultima thule? Dhoe? Abode Brahma's?
Hideout-bamboo? Sukra-Rectory? Nidis' twain-
Regency? Raku's plume? Sanbai- pestle grass?
Kaali's lurch? Pyro-dove? All are names fine!
There Gananaathan! What may his name be?
There as One born to season in service
a flock to foster a fane,raise an arbor,free
to train a team on flower and water, a mix
fragrant to make, to cleanse five corridors,
to light temple lamps, to indite and cite
Tirumurai, to plait flowers as offers,
to exalt seeker to All ! Canonical hours right
levelled his deeds, erased his flaws; he was taken
by task, turning Siva Gana Naathan!

45. Kootruva

A king's crown by Chola Right is Tillai's;
Vedic custody  to  Coronation
is the rite prior and proper to race
and Kootruva is un-reckoned in ken!
His he leaves with some and prays  to the Lord;
in dream the Dancer's Feet print on his crest;
Pentad for his tongue, grace for his valor,
shoulder and sword for war, laurel for the best

Thanatos is he for the foes of the Good;
armies are none for him beholden to Grace;
royal highway  leads to Temple as would
he serve the dictates of servitor-race!
Floral Feet Holy is the summit meet
of a King un-fallen in Judge's seat!

46. Poiyatimai Illaatha Pulavar

Learners that are no Mock-Flock
Vassals Versatile unto Kayilai Lord
know word and meaning and the transcendent;
they arc the horizon and in concord
with Faith free from flawed doubt slain by Trident;
but for Siva-morph naught else is their wealth;
no other ens is deemed supreme; Holy Feet
they cling to and serve in their commonwealth;
poised in Grace of  Lord's caritas discrete!
All Lore do but submit to Omniscience;
all gnostic learning in love commingled
unite the know-er ,known and knowing whence
issue forth fruit and chant in troth singled!
How great and big may their numbers be
to try and enroll in Infinity!

47. Pukazh Chozha

In fealty to Pukazh many a King
of Kongu Land paid many a tribute:;
At Karuvoor ,Pukazh's reconciling
went on; pat came the flash: a mammoth brute
floored aged Aandaar pulling his flower
bowl as he made to Temple; he panted;
Eripatthar saw his plight ;slew the tusker
and mahout;Pukazh in blight blind,; wanted
to go slain; Patthar tried to end his life
Lord raised all and graced their faith soul-deep;
in war-field he saw a servitor's strife
whose visage lay; contrite, he did leap
into fire-pit, poised in Sivam for ascent
leaving the reign for  heir-prince, Sivam-bent!

48. Narasinga Munaiyaraiyar

Country between Chola and Thondai land
is medan agan with flower of  warmen.
Betelgeuse Day dawns; the servitors' band
covered in Holy Ash come there and then;
take their meal of rice and pretty much gold
from reverent Munai Araiyar King
a thrall to Holy Ash wearer bald or bold!
In the thick crowd one dissimulating
steals in  and; shares the host's generous give!
Though be-known such,is he, for his Ash sake
Araiyar grants double the might by weave
of Sky to chasten evil by good take!
The Giver is Taker too gaining sweet!
A Star-gesture,noble mettle to greet!

49. Athipatthar

Marine Nagai abound in fish and pearl
and atolls;Athipatthar does head
the fishermen-clan; the fish-mart 's whirl
fills the air;Fish is pasu on sea-bed:
Patthar's rote is to leave the big one
for Lord Siva's take after every catch;
if one alone chances, it's for the One!
Like old Man and his Sea, he fails to match;
all gems and fins,is a rare maw taken;
He surrenders it to Lord's lifted Left!
Devout to fault is his name; all the best
he wishes the Lord, who is Threat and Theft!
His time's aurea prima sata, lest
in ocean-owned wealth clan may sink accursed!

50. Kalikkampar

Libations to servitors' feet-sheer grace,
with honey, fruit, ghee, jaggery, feast them;
milk, curd, gold and more; give them their due place;
runs the faith by rote in Pennagadam!
Clouds over arbors; karakam waters,
Kalikkampar's trbute to one and all,
holy ash coated, laced in ganitrus;
his serf in disguise has joined the flock's call!
in fealty to Lord; mores better change!
Kampar's spouse is sloven to fall on
the serf's feet! Wrathful  act in ruthless range;--
Maheswarpuja goes; her arm is undone;
the feller is taurus marked! The cut hoof
is shod; the guise is more than godly proof!

51. Kaliya

Otriyoor-on-Sea;screw pine to jasminum
balm the breeze;dancers' foot-work daises show;
music fill the streets;mutts feed the forum;
Lord with hooded cobra His stealthy trove
with Beauty's Ruby by in His half, wills
to crash the oil Merchandize and try
Kaliya the devout to null his ills;
who  now lean, toils for oil to buy
only to light the lamps within and out
of the temple;forsakes his spouse even!
By day by night faith shouldn't suffer from doubt!
The lamp-wick is Sankara in Kaliya's ken!
With means none he cuts his neck ,runs the blood
for lamps to glow ; Heart to Head, ONE's Red !,

52. Satthi

Veteran of Varinchai wields a tool
a trident of sorts, a sickle of scythe,
with tongs to catch hold of the heinous fool:
when blind mouth wags and brags against the Faith,
when soft-palate cavils  upon the flock,
when Tamil of Lord's is put to abuse,
when loose talk looms large as flimflam to mock,
the zero neural tip's but malign Muse!
Lapsus linguae lapsus calami! Crime
and punishment on the lolling organ;
cut must the tongue be, for its salver lime
on a servitor of the generous One!
Taper the cleaving tongue, its blasphemy!
Even cloven hooves loathe cavil! Blimey!

53. Iyatikal Kaatavarkon

The flesh festers;mouth foams;there's overthrow!
Hear the call of The Temple! The King hears;
the subjects must! Reign is Chess for the foe!
Pallava feet-petal walks in steps,nears!
For Kaatavarkon throne throes are no more!
A venpaa a temple keeps him hymning!
For life, service,for keep up, shrines of yore;
Prayers immarcescible to sing--
flower garland in fadeless charm and spell!
The Kanchi King's mind-set is poised on Lord,
kin lost,age gone worn,drive still, all pellmell!
Before sin-deeds hatch a plot to defraud,
ere souls collapse,,bend, crutch,,cough, crave, and sink
Iyatikal's Tillai times them to think

54. Kanam Puller
                           (Grass-burner of the dross)

A wick of kaus be made! Lead kindly light!
Be lamps lit for Temples by night by day!--
So wills Lord, our intriguing playwright
to stage a rigorous Rg.Vellore play:
Rich Kanampullar on lean days, fallen,
sells wherewith all, sinks solo, insolvent
in Tiruppuleeswaram; shy,sunken
to beg any, for Sankara's Wick, -vent
of the verge- grass ,he cuts, sells to buy ghee:
Sale slumps; headlong, must the lamps ever glow;
Urge un- put out to serve; in full frenzy
in fear of foreign favor,afflatus to show,
his head in dread burns as bush to very bone!
Bhakti,spills honey, Green grows the Zone!

55.  Kaari

Oyster-fruit-words,pearl-seeds in kernel
of Classic Tongue's Kaari's talent innate;
hails and divines he  the three kings Tamil;
gold he gets for temples to give, donate
to the flock in Lord's service to flourish;
meditates on the North of Mount Kayilai;
Grace descends on his transcendence, a wish
of an eternal spirit of 'bull's eye'!
triggering transport through sea of nascence,
milk of kindness often stirred churned to sigh
for Lord's punya--Kaarikkovai sequence;
mind-body divide undone by and by!
Sublimation! Kaari's is Kailash Hill
vanishing up into a flame by Will!

56. Nindra Seer Nedumaaran

In the labyrinth  of Samana-logic,
tortured he his flesh, soul more to the core!
The tug of his spouse queen cured the tragic
plague of callous alien failings of yore!
North attacked; niggardly forces; Nelveli
of Lord's turned bloody Aceldema!
Craniums rolled; trunks toddled; ghosts in glee
ate full meal!; Lofty laurel cassia
was all Maaran's Majesty's! Holy cue
with Puravam Lord's Passion scored his win
He gave unto Sanbai-Grace  his due!
Not to tax a people, nor to drum and din
was he, the defensor fide of Lord's Ire
but was Convert-Valor to cleanse the mire!

57. Vaayilaar

In the adytum of the soul of souls
like Pangea Sanctum sanctorum turns;
secret consecration goes between Poles;
Abides Kayilai Lord of Cranial Bones!
In marine Mayilai upon the Main,
with delight perpetual for libation,
milk of pious love for  offering divine,
with flowers of hidden contemplation,
Vaayilaar worships the Supreme Lumen;
in primordial ties with Lord's Aubade
lingering long, lurking within  'within'
to lurch in the pristine Punnai shade!
Form, Formless, Formless Form inveterate!
Veteran Veneration to exculpate??

58. Munaiyatuvaar

Honey sweet cane, ghee,curd, milk,, grams and greens
served he on plantain leaf of auspice-end
to servitors of Lord with his golden means
of war-fare fair ; his trifle- life strengthened,
in heroic exchange of Time and Tide:
How  many war-fronts he had had combed through
for kings and foes against king's and foe's pride!
Service-man had turned Ex-service man too!
Trident steel and 'stealth' was in his person!
The wages he earned he spent on hosting!
Death was scared of his scores under the Sun!
Gold's Temple-treasury! Not Kings' boasting!
Knew he the most wealthy Neetoor's Native:
"Service to servitors is Lord's Dative!"

59. King Kazhalsinger

North South conquered; the King entempled Lord
in shrines many a new;;moved to Aaroor;
went round the flower temple;saw the flawed
queen of his; her nose cut, she bleeding sore;
like nenuphar fallen on lotus red!
The arm-picked-flower, smelt the nose, now cut;
"Dis-armed she be" resolved cold Pallav's  Head;
the cutlass chopped;Serutthunai met
the King to tell-- What blue-blood's double fault!
Was it the flower's flaw or temple's stain?
Surgical yet purgatorial halt
to soar up through the Testament of pain!
Right indeed is Divine Right! Can Kings err?
Praise be! Pharmacon and Kazhalsinger!

60.  Idamkazhi

Descent of the old House of Aaditthan
that roofed the royal decor in gold leaves
at auric ambalam feeding everyone
dancing attendance on the Lord of Thieves!
One inheritance too big for the world
to size expanse and scope of service
swerve-less from ethics , sure un-cudled,
generous to fault without amiss!
Burgles a servitor King's granary,
and is caught and brought to court and tried!
Deeds on divine count are sin-free:
in an instant does the King judge to guide;
releasing all stores to the servitors!
'Open Sesame'! Accho! Idamkazhi knows!

61. Serutthunai

Isn't it Heaven o'clock when cuts Time
into an act that censors the instinct?

As if by Right Divine a queen in prime

fast smells a flower in Temple precinct;
kept for Lord's worship! A colossal crime
against the carmine hued Kayilai Rex
Whose dative is of aeons  no one can claim!
The servitor cuts queen's nose in reflex;
compassion-bred razor's edge is his part
to undo the DNA chain of acts
willed by Sanguine One, Resident at Heart;
In Aaroor Lord's front, all bagatelle facts!
Who ever he or she be,Y or X,
punitive is Serutthunai's complex!

62. Pukazhthunai

Heart hitched to the auric feet feigns the thud;
hears the silent beat of beat to the left!
Pitcher-water on the Ganga borne head
murmurs as a brook, of thought-flow bereft!
Flower and libation sum up Tapas;
outright pure impeccable punya
as it's known for prayers from soul press
forward, to piety fastened, without flaw,
in private covenant to Lord of the Soul,
reverend old ready to ride Supreme,
Possessive of dispossessing to dole
out a dime on Pukazhthunai's theme:
Swoon on the hermeneutic doorstep;
Arisil Hunger-Appeaser is up!

63. Coatpuli

For Heavens' sake be Hell real, Hell forbid!
Isn't Taker-Giver Unforgiver?
Dancer's is Nattiyatthaankuti's grid
of Faith, famine-hit, for human to err!

Coatpuli is a marshal devotee to keep
the Temple's hoard of paddy for service hour;
bidden by King he quells all foes: a sweep
of victory he scores, sore to know of kin's pilfer
from Lord's Grain-Bowl! In reflex to sentence
the culpable kin,the family tree,
the kid e'en, by sword,fells he; hence
Hell's harrowing fails, all risen soar free!

The Delicate, the Irate take by Will:
 Lord of the Thieves' sanction for  Heavens' fill!

64. Pattharaai-p-panivaar
                   (The Devout In Submission)

Under the net of Bhakti  is He caught!--
Love's aliter is unfaltering
in Southern Tongue, laying the royal route,
high track in luminal speed wayfaring
to cross the old deed-dug trench gaping wide,
to cure the conscience of all germane flaws,
to cup the hill of grace in the palm of pied
beauty telling beads of 'hara- hara'-s,
to glimpse the ruddy floral feet-lotus,
to hold a certain no more birth policy ,
to hear Siva Puranam, Laudamus!
Now shedding tears of joy,in blissful sea,
in Holy Ash wet horripilation,
quake the chosen in dread of divine ONE!

65. Paramanaye paaduvar

Love of Lord wells up ;overflows and turns
psalms of praise composing hymns heartfelt!
'sing the supreme' be the service by Grace
ordained for The One to be sought and knelt
before in a rhythm as senses split;
as the shackles of births loosen and break;
as the great pathway leads kindly lit;
as the song is reserved for Maker's make;
and the Maker-Dancer's  lifting Left foot;
His single dart that quelled the triple fort;
the silken King Cobra His lovely loot;
the mint-venom and Apex Kayilai Court;

May tongues down the Ages troop, tap and sing
but the Sole Supremo all-consoling!

66.  Chitthatthai Sivanpaaley Vaitthaar
                                    (Collective Siva-conscious)

Past the patina of Brahma, Rudra
Maheswara, Sadasiva, Lumen
soars aglow with pranan tamed Pingala,
Ida via sinuous vertebrae column;
through white lotus fibre in ascension;
through stir-less manam Six Field Forces seen;
through an absolute thud of mute mention;
through myriad petals tearing a screen;
Ajaba and Red Giant crunch the lunar;
raise an afflatus; melt the Moon, Her rays
liquified fill the veins; drunk with Nectar
the chakor bird tones the whorl of nerves; plays
the aspirant in Gulf Of Grace immersed ever
as Siva-conscious stand stunned One'd! A shiver!

67.  Tiru Aaroor-p-pirandaar

From Kayilai a legion to guard the Earth
as downy grace swarmed in the land of South!
Siva-ganas throng Prithvi! Chosen Birth!
Aaroor-born are Siva begot in troth!
Nampi from Tillai by order came there;
Naminandi from Manali in sweat
of routines kept off all;dreamed fair
Lord divulging Aaroorists to be met
are but His Red Stock of fairest fellows:
By Him as was spelt were all shown and known
for mundane beings to survive the throes;
Entelechy! with extinction anon!
How suffice a tongue for a tongue to praise?
or to feel the breath, the dative of the Dais?

68. Muppothum Thirumeni Theenduvaar

Speak-worthy is Sivaagamaneri;
Aadhisaivites are of Infinite Love;
Holy mien their arms adore in all three
colors of time; of such descent to know
endowed with right divine theirs is pure
Passion due to well up more and by Mercy
as a tribe they charm the pious; endure
Faces Five, Eesaanam on for to eye;
Kausikar,Kaasyapar,Bhaarathwajar,
Gowthamar,and Agasthiyar--quintet
exclusive to worship the Lord for ever;
for ever in touch for ever ask and get
the shield of proof for the world's tether!
Armored in faith,they pray for the other!

69. Muzhu Neeru Poosiya Munivar

Three kinds of Kine-ness quell the fell six foes:
Cow-and-calf given five by mantras fused
fair to conclude  flame begotten throes;
the dung dry off woods seasoned and composed
in bovine waters, burnt to a finis
by chant of burgeoning seed-sounds darting
from Homa-pit in pyrogenic bliss.
Uberty in One as cinder- remains soaring;
the forest-fire- born crackle-spelled a close
as ghee- glow to espouse the sacred grey--
in Holy Pentad of syllables of nous,
Si Va Ya Na Ma as sages do say!
What an ash-armor of pranava sound!
How big to bow unto the wearer found!

70. Appaalum Atisaarndaar

Dear is to be embedded in Saivam,
all faiths, its limbs, members past Time and Tide
enthroned on the calm of pabulum
wielding Gnostic Scepter of Grace to guide!
The moving move-less genera do range
in the vast, countries far and wide and aeons
previous and next standing change
and chance to subscribe without pros and cons!
The entire lot given a being and birth
if given to serve the, ONE Lord of smile,
of laugh,-bubble and knob of stud- and mirth
great is to bow to them of faith and style!
May milliard of years go around;
current in Circle-Time is Siva-bound!

71. Poosalaar

For Ganga Sankar a blue-print he drew!
He the Vedic of Nindravoor steadfast
to design Templum Divorum, by clue
of faith Canonical, heart funding to last!
The Longest Day! From Sanctum to Mantap,
fort to stupa column,tower and tank,
festive idol to holy jewels and up
a Car for Majesty and streets of rank
to wheel in view! Eight-folds of Aagamic Day!
An inner pick of cuscus,craetiva,
ficus twig,ghee,pincer,splinter,cenote,
for consecrating sthula to sookshma,-
all he made!:Giver bade in King's dream
to put off Kacchi's for Poosal's theme!

72. Mangaiyarkkarasi

Queen of a woman, especial Maani
to pull a-down the Black that plagued the lung
of Pantya land with the power and glory
of Holy Ash, with gnostic milk fed tongue
of Kazhumalam with Kulacchirai by
like a crest-jewel beaming benediction
from Chola's to Pantya's exalted high,
acted steadfast as feminine divine
to enact peace in the zone of Koon
by Passion-Ash argent hailed by the flock;
two races rose in esteem to keen the noon
of Saivite path to lead people en bloc.
Praise be to her that restored the base
holy by Aalavaai Utaiyaar's Grace!

73.  Nesan

Unique was he in lovely loneliness
His thought was Lord's,How we wish we were he!
What a weave of craft beyond hands to bless,
for Lord to enter him as ambrosial sea!

Eyes of his designed sky holy in the hide;
voice of his shuttled Glory:an essential
triad:kandai keel kovanam, well tried
to prove and serve the servitors for all!
The Pentad his words hailed, his deeds of love
did undo deeds of yore, all null and void!
Work of Aran's Feet in weaver's shuttle now!
Kampili to Koorai land Nesan-wide!
Weaving life living on every weave
Service for service is service, Believe!

74. Kocchengatcholan--Metamorphosis

                      1
Rivalry in service. Ganas in bout;
Malyavan turned spider, spying Sky;
Pushpadandan as elephant fell out:
Mammoth versus Insect--mismatch to die!
The past pales on descent and is scored out:
Flower and water, the tusker fetches in bhakti
for the Linga locked in Ganga's spout!
Weaves the spider a canopy daily
for the Lord's parasol, in single spell!
Feels the big beast the gossamer-filth spoils
the Deity wet; drools the cob out: a farewell!
Octopus ochre in fury boils;
salver rises in the snout only it sees;

succumbs the bit beast, spider squashed in a wheeze!

                                  2
Mammoth risen soars back to the Lord's Feet.
Unknowing the Big in full, having slain
trails the spider small in bhakti meet
with trial gets reborn as red-eyed kid again
turning by Pisces in belated delivery;
off the womb, as heir to Subhadeva;
by Grace informed of bite sneaky
and salver-gauze, builds he anew Temples Siva,

at Aanaikkaa the in barring Big one,
his twin rival unrivalled for ever!
And in his second serve an ace prewon,
he to Koyil has made shedding out there,
his sanchitam lay to lair secure
in Dancer Lord's lifting left foot for sure!

75. Tiruneelakanta Yaazhpaanar

Trans-duodecimal Gate! Mercy tunes
soft and hard; Madar tree stands mute within!
Vina and Yaazh-born many a strain prune
the shackles of birth! Aalavaai shows in
Player Neelakanta, Lord's co--hummer!
Divine Will would have the strings, in tension,
in Tamil Classic, in pitch and tone, simmer
to adumbrate worship in love hot by when
Lord wrought for him a plank of gold
to sit at ease vis-a-vis, hymn and strum
the nerves to resonance rolling and rolled;
heard the Yaazhinar's secret sruti's sum:
Pati's Passion immersed in recursive scheme:
Panchkritya, His Extreme Supreme Theme!

76. Sataiyan

Give away and break the tie:Father-Son!
for Son to sing servus servorum dei;
gaily the Son does glory the One
cataloging the full flock from Tillai;
born of askesis prone to bow, hail,love
and worship to repose in the floral
Feet-shade of the Supreme Theme-- a know-how
to sprint a run behind such a call
off dim divine disaffiliation?
Locks of Sivan given name lofty
turn Isai's Trisyllabic Sataiyan
for handsome Beauty to go blind in spree!
Munaiyar asks, gets him! What a whim!
Leave,Kaanchi bound for Aaroor right to hymn??

77. Isai Gnani

Would Lord's Will ever favor any bane
to Logos?, or admit baleful descent?
Would the Spheres swing the noetic tunes in vain?
A hum hones her up to bear a boon violent!
Theotokos! A kid born to bass and treble
within Word and strain in numinous
luminescence, in thralling syllable -
all lapse stem from dumb umbilicus!
The Muse of Music chaste in Navalur
wed to Sataiyanaar ever in touch
of Mad One, Ah! A blithe Bereshith pure
"Ka", the numero uno keen as such
musing satyam sivam sundaram simply:
Truth's bound Beauty! Madonna Isai Gnani!
Isai Gnani
Would Lord's Will ever favor any bane
to Logos?, or admit baleful descent?
Would the Spheres swing the noetic tunes in vain?
A hum hones her up to bear a boon violent!
Theotokos! A kid born to bass and treble

within Word and strain in numinous

luminescence, in thralling syllable -
all lapse stem from dumb umbilicus!
The Muse of Music chaste in Navalur

wed to Sataiyanaar ever in touch
of Mad One, Ah! A blithe Bereshith pure
"Ka", the numero uno keen as such
musing satyam sivam sundaram simply:
Truth's bound Beauty! Madonna Isai Gnani!
