ನಡೆಯಲರಿಯದೇ ನುಡಿಯಲರಿಯದೇ
ಲಿಂಗವ ಪೂಜಿಸಿ ಫಲವೇನು? ಫಲವೇನು?
ಅವರ ದುಃಖವೆನ್ನ ದುಃಖ
ಅವರ ಸುಖವೆನ್ನ ಸುಖ.
ಕೂಡಲಸಂಗನ ಶರಣರ ಮನನೊಂದಡೆ ಆನು ಬೆಂದೆನಯ್ಯಾ.

Meaning of the Prayer Song:

 Without being cognizant of the happenings around
what is the point in worshiping Shivalinga?
Their misery is my misery.
Their joy is my joy.
If the heart of the Kudalasanga pains, I burn!

 Notes: 

1. God is not a discrete being confined in a Linga.
God is everywhere. The large compassion has to set 
in the mind of devotee.
