Meaning of the Prayer Hymn:

In this teaching perseverance, restraint and action are rooted.
Vedas in all limbs; Truth residing in.

 Notes:

1. damaH - restraint; Ayatanam - seated.

2. This hymn summarizes the characteristics of the teachings done in this Upanishad.
The next and concluding hymn will say the benefit for them beyond this world.

3. Since this Kena Upanishad explained the fundamental force the Divine
that energizes everything, one who sees that Divine everywhere (and in the self) in devotion
for that person there would be no greed or fear. Such a person would be stable
in perseverance, restraint and action as appropriate. Truth will be firmly seated
as all that is seen is the Divinity!!
