நீலமேனி வாலிழை பாகத்து     
ஒருவன் இருதாள் நிழற்கீழ் 
மூவகை உலகும் முகிழ்த்தன முறையே.    ஐங்குறுநூறு கடவுள் வாழ்த்து

n-IlamEni vAlizai bAgaththu 
oruvan iruthAL n-izaRkIz
mUvakai ulagum mukizththana muRaiyE.   ainkuRun-URu kadavuL vAzththu

Meaning of the Prayer Song:

 Under the shade of the two feet of the One,
Who has in one part the Lady of pure ornaments and dark form,
the three types of world evolved.

 Notes: 

1. vAl - chaste; izai - ornament; mukizththal - to bud.

2.  mUvakai ulagu 
The complete world can be classified into three
categories - masculine, feminine and neuter.
c.f. அவன் அவள் அதுவெனும் அவை மூவினைமையின்    - சிவஞானபோதம்

3.  mukizththana muRaiyE.  
The whole world indicated by these three categories
"evolved" under the Supreme Lord Shiva.
This is the concept of Vedanta Siddhanta -
The Supreme Brahman is the force behind us,
with which we have evolved. One who realizes that
Supreme as the essential, is liberated.
