Meaning of the Prayer Song:

Oh Bhagavan! This Atmarpanastuti is not composed by me
with a totally dedicated heart.
Still, considering that "This distressed, miserable fellow is seeking the refuge
at least in words!", save me, oh the Bank of Mercy!

 Notes:

1. nibaddha - composed; vRuNItE - seek; varAka - miserable.

2. Appayya Dikshithar offers this composition called Atmarpanastuti
to the Lord Shiva in this song and completes this beautiful composition
rich in devotion.
