Prayer in Sanskrit 

 

चारुस्मॆराननसरसिजं चन्द्ररॆखावतंसं
    फुल्लन्मल्लीकुसुमकलिकादामसौभाग्यचॊरम् ।
अन्तः पश्याम्यचलसुतया रत्नपीठॆ निषण्णं
    लॊकातीतं सततशुभदं रूपमप्राकृतं तॆ ॥ ४० ॥

chArusmErAnanasarasijaM chandrarEkhAvataMsaM
    phullanmallIkusumakalikAdAmasaubhAgyachOram |
antaH pashyAmyachalasutayA ratnapIThE niShaNNaM
    lOkAtItaM satatashubhadaM rUpamaprAkRutaM tE || 40 ||

(chAru smEra Anana sarasijaM chandra rEkha avataMsaM
    phullan mallI kusuma kalikA dAma saubhAgya chOram |
antaH pashyAmi achalasutayA ratnapIThE niShaNNaM
    lOka atItaM satata shubhadaM rUpam aprAkRutaM tE ||   )

Meaning of the Prayer Song:


 Your Form that is beyond creation, ever meritorious, 
beyond (the comprehension of) the world, with a lotus face
sporting a charming smile, crowned with a streak of the moon,
(the Form) stealing the glory of the just blooming garland of 
jasmine buds, seat on the ruby throne along with the 
daughter of the mountain - I am seeing inside (me)!


 Notes: 


1. chAru - lovely; smEra - smile; Anana - face; sarasijaM - lotus;
avatamsa - crest; phulla - bloomed; kusuma - flower; kalikA - bud; 
dAma - garland; niShaNNam - seated; aprAkRuta - extraordinary.

2. Loevly song rejoicing the charming sight of out beloved Lord Shiva
majastically seated on the throne in the heart!
