மாப்பிணை தழுவிய மாதொர் பாகத்தன்
பூப்பிணை திருந்தடி பொருந்தக் கைதொழ
நாப்பிணை தழுவிய நமச்சிவாயப் பத்து
ஏத்த வல்லார் தமக்கு இடுக்கண் இல்லையே

Meaning of the Prayer Song:

 There is no hurdle for those, who hail with this
Namahshivaya Pathikam that is pleasant for the tongue,
with folded hands the floral garland adorned Perfect Feet 
of the Lady in one part Lord embracing the bull!

 Notes: 

1. piNai - bond/garland/pleasant (this word comes in these different meanings 
through the song); iDukkaN - hurdle.

2. This padhkam and Pavanasa thirupathikam are the only two where
Thirunavukkarasar mentions the benefit of singing the Thirupadhikam.
