Meaning of the Prayer Song:

 Oh Lord Who vanquished Kama!
Though born in an excellent lineage / family,
though have tasted a droplet of Your ocean of glory,
without the will in the heart to worship Your feet,
in the fickle of senses - distracted into mean things.
Alas! I, the sin, am wasting my life.

 Notes:

1. AsvAdya - having tasted; shIkara - droplet; vyagra - distracted.
2. Is one does not know what is the destination
and does not have the right tools to get there,
the failure of that person is justifiable.
We have been fortunate enough to have the right
association of good people / scriptures that show the
glorious path to Bliss of Lord shiva. By the Lord's grace
we have been extremely fortunate to taste the glimpse
of that Bliss the Lord offers. Isn't it utter stupidity
to get distracted into mean things loosing sight of that
Great Reward of Lord Shiva?!
