திருநாவுக்கரசர் தேவாரம்
தலம் திருவீழிமிழலை
திருக்குறுந்தொகை
ஐந்தாம் திருமுறை
திருச்சிற்றம்பலம்
காத்தனே பொழில் ஏழையும் காதலால்
ஆத்தனே அமரர்க்கு அயன்றன் தலை
சேர்த்தனே திருவீழி மிழலையுள்
கூத்தனே அடியேனைக் குறிக்கொளே.

Meaning:
Oh the One Who protects(ed) the seven lands !
Oh the Trusted One for the immortals (divines) !
Oh the One who took the head of brahma !
Oh the Dancer at thiruvIzimizalai !
Take note of me, the slave !

1. Aththan - Apthan - Close / Trusted;
ayan - brahma.
