குழைகொள் காதினர் கோவண ஆடையர்
உழையர் தாங்கட வூரின் மயானத்தார்
பழைய தம்மடி யார்செயும் பாவமும்
பிழையுந் தீர்ப்பர் பெருமா னடிகளே. 		5.38.1

kuzaikoL kAdhinar kOvaNa ADaiyar
uzaiyar thAm kaDavUrin mayAnaththar
pazaiya thammaDiyAr cheydha pAvamum
pizaiyum thIrppar perumAnaDikaLE

Meaning:
With ear-ball as ornament, cut-piece as clothing,
abode as kaDavUr mayAnam (cemetery), the 
Great Saintly Lord clears the sins and mistakes
of people with long-standing devotion.

Notes:
1. It is the refuge, only hold and guru for 
the time-tested devotees and so It corrects
their paths clearing their mistakes. It is
the God - Almighty and so It clears the sins
of the devotees who in the long established 
devotion to It reach the state of purity.
2. perumAnaDikaL is the name of the Lord.
3. kuzai - ear-ball that hangs from ear; 
uzai - home; pizai - erroneous deeds.
