Meaning of Thevaram

The place the Supreme Light practices, with the devotees who verily sing the hails saluting the Feet as the sanctuary, is thiruppuLLirukkuvELUr, where with the mantra of vedas, white sand as the shivalinga (sambAdhi and jaTAyu) worshipped in wisdom!

பொருளுரை

கீதத்தை மிகவும் பாடும் அடியவர்கள் தம் சரணாலயம் இதுவெனத் திருப்பாதங்களைத் தொழுதேத்த நின்ற பரஞ்சோதி இருக்கின்ற இடமாவது, வேதத்தின் மந்திரத்தால், வெண்மணலைச் சிவலிங்கமாகச் செய்து, ஞானத்தால் (சம்பாதி, சடாயு) வழிபட்ட திருப்புள்ளிருக்குவேளூராகும்.
