Meaning:
Like the well tortoise asking the tortoise
of the roaring ocean, "Is the ocean as big as
this well ?", those covered in their sins
say the Glory of Lord shiva, the Divine of
divines, is not something worth perceiving
to be realized.
Notes:
1. Materialists and other people who follow
dogmatic theories are just unable to visualize
the Gigantic Supreme nature of the God and so
mock at the efforts of the devotees of Lord
shiva as futile ones. The devotees need to move
forward in their worship of the Truth expounded by
vedas undeterred as these people would continue
just in maligning till they come out of their
ignorance.
(Many people accuse that Hinduism is a confusing
and unclear religion with each one saying one thing.
It is in fact the problem that they have been exposed
too much to the religions of limited in terms of
philosophers, books etc. It needs an open mind and
good inclination and effort to understand the glory
of that ocean.)
2. kUval - well; kurai - noisy; pArppu aridhu -
difficult to see.
