கோவாய் முடுகி யடுதிறற் கூற்றங் குமைப்பதன்முன்
பூவா ரடிச்சுவ டென்மேற் பொறித்துவை போகவிடின்
மூவா முழுப்பழி மூடுங்கண் டாய்முழங் குந்தழற்கைத்
தேவா திருச்சத்தி முற்றத் துறையுஞ் சிவக்கொழுந்தே. 		4.96.1

thiruchchaththi muRRaththu uRaiyum chivak kozundhE

thiruchchiRRambalam 

Meaning:
With ferocious mouth (teeth) emitting anger, before 
the assailing death thrash me down, imprint your
Floral Feet on me ! If You leave out, unagingly
the complete blame will be on You ! Oh the Divine
with roaring fire on the hand ! Oh chivakkozundhu
of thiruchchaththimuRRam !

Notes:
1. This is the song in which appar requests 
(threatens !) God to put Its covetous Feet on his
head. God called him to thirun^allUr and fulfilled
his plead there.
2. Doesn't this sound a better idea ? If the Lord's
Feet is embossed on the head, how can the death, 
having already had enough for once, thrash one down,
however ferocious it be ?! Isn't it better to have
the Floral Feet of Lord shiva than that of the 
ferocious death ?
