திருச்சிற்றம்பலம்
வீசு மின்புரை காதன் மேதகு
பாச வல்வினை தீர்த்த பண்பினன்
பூசு நீற்றினன் பூம்பு கலியைப்
பேசு மின்பெரி தின்ப மாகவே.

Meaning:
With lightning like splendid ears (ornated), He is the Supreme Who
nullifies the bindings (pAsam) and the strong karma; Smeared in ash;
Speak of His pukali (chIrkAzi), bringing in joy to yourself !
Notes:
1. cf. peechap peridhum iniyaay n^iiyee - appar. Our Lord shiva is the
sweetest of the sweets for those who feel that Gracious ! That sweet
is ever tasty to keep on talking of Its glories.
