Anandhpuram, now called Andhakudi is situated 8km south east of thiruvArUr, to the north of pANDava river. This is in kIzvELur taluk in Nagai district.

Specialty:

The glory of this place is that it is in this temple chandra (moon divine) worshipped and got cured of his kshayarOgam (leprosy).

kumbAbishekam festival:

This temple has been renovated and kumbabhisheskam is being performed after a span of 50 years. This will be on 31 - 08 - 2006 (AvaNi 15th), Thursday morning between 9-15 AM to 10-45 AM in thula lagnam. kumbAbishekam pUja will start on 29-08-2006 and will continue upto 31-08-2006. This will be followed by 45 days of maNDala pUjai.
